Adam and Geran are in a booth sharing a plate of fries and chatting.

Aaron has a guitar.

He plays it very well--he learned from the best. (Well, Charlie claims to be the best. He's good but he's not that good.)

Anyway, he's playing the guitar and humming, a look of bliss on his face.

What? You expected heavenly light and tweeting birds?

Date night.

It's been a while--Aaron and his last boyfriend didn't "date" much, once they were together.

(Maybe that explains why they're no longer together.)

He's determined to show Adam a good time, though. Nothing makes him happier right now than Adam's smile.

There's a young man doing a handstand on one hand in a corner of the bar. He's held up by one hand, the other extended to the side as his eyes flit from his own feet to the hand to the hand holding him.

Another experiment, it seems.

Aaron enters the bar in a suit--a tweedy one that proclaims, This is the best thing I own--and immediately takes off his tie. He sits at the bar with a sigh.

"Sometime strong, please."

Up pops a whiskey on the rocks. It'll do.

He had to testify at a custody hearing today. A little sympathy would go a long way.

A slim blond boy wanders in, very surprised to find himself indoors when he'd been on a wilderness hike moments earlier.

He shrugs, sets his pack down, and takes a seat at the bar.
